My biggest upset about Gatorrun was the fact that they knew that redkneck games was going to bring in alot of people for redneck games but was too lazy to even mow the grass where campers were setup, the grass was least a foot tall, trash was everywhere, the events that were scheduled, never started on time. The so called security was more interested in getting flashed than directing traffic, the showers were a joke, the water must have been hooked up to a cooler full of ice and water because the water felt like ice sicles being thrown at you. They need to set garbage cans all over and maybe some people might use them instead of the ground,. I still had a good time.
just to let you know i just got back from gator run park 4-6-10. we stayed 4 days at the park and had the best time we have had in the last 10 years.i have read the reviews that some have posted. we rode all 5200 acres and had a blast.for those of you that didnt get along with the owner there must be something wrong with you.our group was glad that we chose this park. we drove 450 mile to get there and are returning on april 29-31 for the mud fest
It looks like we aren't the only people that feel ripped off. I agree with all the recent posts. The guy we dealt with said his name was Wesley I think. I don't know if he actually owns the park or just runs it, but he is not what we are use to in park management. I read were two people were found dead out there late Sunday night after Mardis Gras from carbon monoxide. It took the relatives of these people calling the police to get anyone to check if they were still at the park. Why didn't someone from the park notify police? Its just plain creepy. Texas Mudfest needs to rethink holding their event out there. The trails are pretty good if you can overlook the trash but good trails don't make up for bad owners. We were there less than 48 hours and were charged $100 for an RV spot then the water was cut off by noon on Sunday. We have been riding atvs since '02 and have been to many many events but Ive never been to a park that was this trashy both in its upkeep and management. I guess the only good thing about our weekend was getting back home without any major mishaps. My son did ruin a brand new pair of waders by ripping them open on broken glass. He cut his leg a little, but if he hadn't had on waders we'd have ended up at the emergency room. Good thing he'd had a tetanus shot. I doubt we will ever go back to Gator Run. I feel that if we have to pay premium prices to ride we should get premium accommodations and treatment. Not the case at this park not even close!
Been to this park twice. Redneck and Muddygra 09. I wouldnt have been back the second time, but I like the event staff. The park owner is a joke. He raised prices after I had paid him for our spots. When we got there, our 5 spots were not together. We had to fight to get them put together. The park rented trailer next to us spilled sewer onto the ground next to us. When we told the owner, he said oh well. We were told we coulnt use the water that we paid for. Got shocked at the electric outlet. The park is full of trash. There is a homeless person living in on the property which I found him drunk and in our camp trying to get food. We had to physically remove him twice. The owner just said to ignore him. My club has about 45 active members and we will not be back. I will make sure no one evers gets treated like this. If its wasnt for us ATV riders, this park would close. IT NEEDS A NEW OWNER
Gator Run is Hill Billy Hell!!!! This isn't an atv park! Its a dump that over charges you to ride in it. The owner is an ass and his staff must be his inbred relatives. The only person there that was nice was the black guy working at night. He doesn't know anything but at least he is nice telling you that. The owner pays more for his website than he does keeping this place up. If you want to spend more time pulling barbed wire out from around your axles than you do riding then go to Gator Run. If broken glass is your thing then go to Gator run. Its not only out on the trails but the camping area as well. If you don't care about taking a shower all weekend then Gator run is your place to go because the so called showers have alot to desired. Forget about washing your bike with that power washer, you'll get better results peeing on it, and it won't cost you $5.
