2007 Wolverine 450 review, June 24, 2009

I bought a 2007 Yamaha Wolverine with 1 mile on it right off the show room floor about a month ago. I owned a older Wolverine 350 a few years ago and loved the more sporty looks of the Wolverines over the plain utility atv's. The new 450 Wolverines are an awsome all around machine. The liquid cooled 450 is great in the low and medium range power zones and at first I thought I'd hate not shifting the tranny but now after putting some miles on the Wolverine I find that I really like the Ultramatic tranny and the simple ability to GUN and GO! The performance and handling on the trail is where the Wolvy shines and is a awesome trail riding machine! The top end is in the mid 50 MPH range so if your looking for a racing machine to fly from one point to the other as fast as you can, buy a racer. Now if you want a great handling trail machine that has great handling, great trail performace be it in mud or sand or just cruising down the trails having fun then be sure to try out a Wolvy! The on demand 2 or 4 wheel drive is awesome the digital diplay is really nice and the fuel economy is really pretty good too! I added after market tcp ss rims and tcp mudlite tires and it is one very sharp machine and a little digger! One thing I did notice is that the back brakes sqeek some but I was told that adding { don't remember the brand name } after market brake pads that almost all the sqeeking is gone. All in all I really love the looks, features and performance of the Wolverine 450 !!
